Who We Are
Long before this atelier existed, there was a young hand, the hand of artist Sultan Al-Rosan, a simple tool, and a quiet fascination with form. Over the years, that spark matured into a craft, and that craft became a signature, one that would later be passed on to his son, Abdalla Al-Rosan. Today, Stone & Chisel continues that tradition, sculpting natural stone into enduring pieces defined by precision, patience, and timeless design, while sharing this heritage with visitors through hands-on experiences and the art of teaching the craft itself.

Led by master artisan Sultan Al-Rosan and his son Abdalla Al-Rosan, Stone & Chisel preserves the timeless art of stone masonry in Umm Qais. Inspired by centuries of craftsmanship, we shape natural stone using traditional techniques that reflect the heritage of northern Jordan.Our hands-on experience invites guests to learn, create, and connect with this enduring craft. Through carving, storytelling, and guided instruction, we share the knowledge and traditions that continue to define our cultural identity today.
